Visa of Temporary Visitor in Quality of Student Key: VT-C

 

Legal foundation: 1ero, numeral article 5, literal C, 14 article and article 41, numeral 3, of the Decree Law of 30th of June of 1960, Decree Law #13 of 20th of September of 1965 and the Law 6ta of 5th of March of 1980.

Approximated time of process: 2 to 4 months.

Candidates:

Those foreigners registered in time complete in day shift (day or night schedule), in elementary, secondary, and special or college students properly recognized by the Ministry of Education. The foreign student must prove the income to cover its expenses of study, lodging, food, transport, health, among others. Permission is granted exclusively to dedicate a studies, therefore during their use are prohibited to work.

Requirements:

  • Transaction Membership card.
  • Medical certificate of Good Health sent within the three (3) months previous to the date of presentation. (It must have date, company’s signature and stamp with the name, code and record number of the doctor).
  • Power of attorney at law and Request.
    • Power:
      • Complete Information of the person or people interested:
      • Name,
      • Nationality,
      • Exact address,
      • Name and Nationality of the parents,
      • Telephone numbers,
      • Email address.

      • General Information of the Lawyer
        • Office’s Address,
        • Fax and Telephone numbers,
        • Email address.
      • Tax stamp of value of USD$4.00 by page.
      • The Power will have to appear personally before civil employee of the National Office of Migration and Naturalization or with the Note of Personal Presentation before a Public Notary.
    • Request:
      • General and complete information of the applicants and dependants.
      • Complete and general information of the lawyer.
      • Complete and general information of the checks that are contributed:
        • Number of the Check,
        • Name of the Bank,
        • Date,
        • Amount.
      • List and identify the documents that they enclose.
      • Expose the foundations in fact and of right. 
      • Tax stamp of value of USD$4.00 by page.
  • Background Record of the country of origin or of country where it has resided interested last the two years. If the person interested is two or more years old of it calls to account continuous in Panama is free to present this document.
  • Passport of the country of origin with a minimum validity of six months of each one of the applicants.
  • Photocopy of the passport of each applicant.
  • Two (2) photos membership card size of each applicant.
  • Sworn declarationon of Personal Antecedents.
  • Certified Check or of Management by the amount of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (USD$100.00) in favor of the National Treasure.
  • If the student is minor, is required:
    • Authorization in writing of the parents in favor of responsible resident. This can be granted in origin country, for which it must properly be added or authenticated. If the father or mother of student is in Panama, can grant authorization before Public Notary.
    • Birth Certificate properly added or authenticated.
  • Present the receipt of payment of the original matriculation and the matriculation certainty in which they appear enrolled matters (minimum 5 matters).
  • Certification of the School, School, University or
    Training center that must contain the following one
    information:
    • The name, nationality and number of passport of interested,
    • Its condition of student of the Educative Center of that one treats,
    • The faculty and the career that studies,
    • The time that lasts the career, or in two months, trimesters, fourth month periods, semesters or years and period that attends,
    • The turn which it attends,
    • The detail of the subjects that it has registered,
    • To indicate the number of Resolution with which it was approved by the Ministry of Education the Center Educative
  • Letter of Work of the responsible resident with Card of Social Insurance or Receipt of Payment, or Declaration of Rents with its respective Receipts of Payments and to be collated copies. The minimum entrance of Person in charge must be of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS (USD$500.00).
  • Letter of the responsible resident in favor of the interested, in which takes responsibility economically of he himself including the commitment to assume his repatriation if it were necessary and it points out that same it will not represent load for the Panamanian State.
  • This letter must express the telephones and direction of address and place of work where he is locatable responsible resident. ▪ Photocopy of the effective membership card of the resident person or photocopy of the identity card effective personnel, authenticated by the Civil Registry.
  • In case of being University Student, in addition to to count on a responsible resident will have to prove origin of the capital with which they will support his studies and other expenses (payment of matriculation, books, feeding, transport, lodging, health), which
    it will verify by means of the contribution of:
    • Document sent by a governmental institution or nongovernmental organization who proves that student who asks for the visa is holder of a scholarship of studies, accompanied with receipts, checkbooks of checks or photocopy of the check of payment of the scholarship, if some collection already took place.
    • Certification emitted by the National Bank of Panama, in which it is  certified that the student it maintains deposits with a minimum balance of 25% of total cost of the career and ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR (USD$1, 000.00) additional to support to expenses and photocopy of bank book.
    • Letter emitted by a Bank in which it is pointed out that the student receives monthly deposits of outside or the receipts of payments of transferences monthly of courier to its name.  In both cases add the photocopy of the bank book.
