Visa of Temporary Visitor in Quality of Missionary or Monk to the Service of the Catholic and Orthodox Church Key: VT-DR

 

Legal foundation: Decree law #16 of 30th of June of 1960, Decree Law #13 of 20 of September of 1965 and Law 6ta of 5 of March of 1980.

Candidates:

Those foreigners who are priests, brothers and sisters, monks and nuns or others
such as institutes of consecrated life, that is dedicated to preach, to propagate
the religion or to serve in institutions as an orphanages, asylums or others guaranteed by Catholic Church u Orthodox. The request that fulfills all the requirements will obtain Temporary visa, until by the maximum term of five (5) prorrogables years at the request of the Church.

Requirements:

  • Transaction Membership card.
  • Medical certificate of Good Health sent within the three (3) months previous to the date of presentation. (It must have date, company’s signature and stamp with the name, code and record number of the doctor).
  • Power attorney at law and request.
    • Power:
    • Complete Information of the person or people interested:
      ▫ Name,
      ▫ Nationality,
      ▫ Exact address,
      ▫ Name and Nationality of the parents,
      ▫ Telephone numbers,
      ▫ Email address.
    • General Information of the Lawyer
      ▫ Office’s Address,
      ▫ Fax and Telephone numbers,
      ▫ Email address.
    • Tax stamp of value of USD$4.00 by page.
    • The Power will have to appear personally before civil employee of the National Office of Migration and Naturalization or with the Note of Personal Presentation before a Public No
  • Request:
    • General and complete information of the applicants and dependants.
    • Complete and general information of the lawyer.
    • Complete and general information of the checks that are contributed:
      • Number of the Check,
      • Name of the Bank,
      • Date,
      • Amount.
    • List and identify the documents that are enclosed.
    • Expose the foundations in fact and of right. 
    • Tax stamp of value of USD$4.00 by page.
  • Background Record of the country of origin or the country where it has resided last the two years. If the person interested has two or more years of continuous residence in Panama he is free to present this document..
  • Passport of the country of origin with a minimum validity of six months of each one of the applicants.
  • Photocopy of the passport of each one of applicants.
  • Two (2) photos membership card size of each one of applicants.
  • Sworn declarationon of Personal Antecedents.
  • Certified Check or of Management by the amount of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (USD$100.00) in favor of the National Treasure.
  • Membership card of Identification emitted by the church or group monk to whom it belongs.
  • Letter emitted by the Superior authority of the Bishopric or Diocese to which the missionary has been assigned monk (a), in whom he certifies:
    • Activity to make, (to specify if she is priest, nun, lay missionary consecrated or lay missionary),
    • Group missionary or religious community to that it belongs,
    • Place and dwell time in the country.
